Senior Formulation Scientist – Pharmaceutical Excipients
R&D Full-time Pune, India 5–8 Years

About the Role

Lead the development and optimization of novel excipient formulations including co-processed excipients, MCC variants, and modified starches for solid dosage forms. You will work directly with our global pharmaceutical clients to solve complex formulation challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute formulation development studies for tableting, capsule filling, and coating applications
  • Characterize excipient physicochemical properties using advanced analytical instruments
  • Collaborate with QA and regulatory teams to prepare dossiers and technical documentation
  • Support new product launches and provide technical support to global sales teams
  • Mentor junior scientists and contribute to patent filings and publications

Required Qualifications

  • M.Pharm / PhD in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Technology, or related discipline
  • 5–8 years of hands-on formulation R&D experience in excipients or solid dosage pharma
  • Strong knowledge of USP, EP, IP, and IPEC guidelines for excipients
  • Proficiency with tablet compression, analytical characterization (BET, PSD, SEM, XRD)
  • Excellent technical writing skills; prior regulatory dossier experience preferred

About the Role

Oversee all quality assurance activities for our pharmaceutical excipient and food ingredient manufacturing operations. Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO 9001, HACCP, Halal, and Kosher standards while driving continuous improvement in our quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and evolve the Quality Management System across all product lines
  • Lead regulatory audits, customer audits, and certification renewals
  • Drive CAPA processes, deviation management, and risk assessments
  • Oversee batch record review, CoA release, and supplier qualification
  • Liaise with international customers on quality-related queries and documentation

Required Qualifications

  • B.Pharm / M.Pharm / M.Sc. in Chemistry or Life Sciences
  • 8–12 years in QA/QC roles in pharmaceutical or food manufacturing
  • In-depth knowledge of GMP, ICH guidelines, ISO 9001, and HACCP frameworks
  • Experience with Halal / Kosher certification processes is highly desirable

About the Role

Manage end-to-end export documentation and logistics for our international shipments to 50+ countries. Ensure timely, accurate documentation, customs compliance, and coordination with freight forwarders and international clients.

  • Prepare and manage all export documents: commercial invoices, packing lists, CoO, phytosanitary/health certificates, BOL
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, and shipping lines for timely dispatch
  • Ensure compliance with Indian export regulations and destination country import requirements
  • Track shipments and proactively communicate status to international clients
  • Maintain export records and assist with DGFT, ECGC, and other export schemes

Required Qualifications

  • B.Com / BBA or degree in International Trade / Logistics Management

  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with ERP or trade management software is a plus
